Wualai Walking Street (Saturday Night Market)

This area is a large and well-known market in Chiang Mai and the perfect place for souvenir shopping at a reasonable price. Best known for its high quality authentic northern silver and lacquer ware, unique handicrafts, local food and traditional performances, Wualai Walking Street is one of the most popular shopping destinations in Chiang Mai.

Opening: Every Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Thapae Walking Street (Sunday Night Market)

Starting at the Thapae Gate at one end the Sunday Market, this street extends roughly 1 km. down the full length of Ratchadamnoen Road. Best known for its showcase of northern craftsmanship products, Thapae Walking Street is a must during your visit.

Opening: Every Sunday from 4 p.m. until Midnight.

Nimmanhaemin Road

At the hotel’s doorstep, Nimmanhaemin or Nimman Road is the coolest and chicest street in Chiang Mai. Since the mid-00s, this kilometre-long road between Huay Kaew and Suthep has attracted trendy coffee shops, natty boutiques, hot and cool nightspots, cutting edge art galleries, home décor shops and live-music restaurants & bars. 

Doi Intanon

Visit the peak of Thailand’s highest mountain to take in the view before embarking on a 360 m. long nature trail on an elevated walkway. On the main road to the summit of Doi Intanon stand two adjacent chedis. Located on the mountain, Doi Intanon Royal Project is in Khun Klang village close to the park headquarters. The project was initiated in 1979 to help the hill tribes to cultivate cash crops other than opium and train them on modern agricultural practices.  Most produces are temperate zone plants.  Flower plantations, a plant breeding research lab and flower plantations of hill tribes (Hmong) are open to visitors.
